Big Table Farm

Big Table Farm is credited for the great majority of the reverence I have for exceptional Oregon wine. My love of BTF wines started in 2008 while attending a wine tasting event in Atlanta for the F & B industry. 

There were hundreds of producers showcasing marquis wines from all over the world. Imagine a circus tent with grocery store-like aisles of producers all vying for the attention of current and potentially new customers. Attention overload. Whoa!

I distinctly remember rounding the corner of an aisle and doing a double-take at what I thought were letterpressed business cards laid out on a table. As I got a closer look, I noticed they were wine labels for a small boutique winery I had never heard of…Big Table Farm.

As I tasted the wines, I was in awe of the juice's quality and the people's relaxed and hospitable presence behind the table: no contrived pretense or pomp, just good ole' fashion friendly folks. I knew at this moment if this was representative of the quality of wine Oregon wineries could achieve…I was in, head first.

Let me introduce Brian Marcy and Clare Carver, the husband and wife team behind all that is BTF. Expats from the Napa wine scene, they have followed their dreams of owning their own fully functioning farm and winery in the Willamette Valley. The farm, located in Gaston, Oregon, with a newly opened tasting room and Atelier in Carlton, OR, is a venue and experience you'll never forget and most likely will crave more of. Access is limited to appointments only, with a handful of events open to the public throughout the year.

These are inspired wines that resonate with soul and thoughtfully harnessed nuance. Run, don't walk to find these wines.
